Springford Farm Beef
We Care.
We treat our small herd with the utmost care and respect, ensuring they spend their lives in healthy conditions. Due to the temperate climate on Vancouver Island, our cattle enjoy long grazing seasons on our pastures, along with plenty of fresh water and sunshine.
Grass-fed beef
Our beef is grass-fed and finished, which means that the cattle we raise are fed grass throughout their entire lives, producing top-quality meat full of flavour. Our herd consumes high-quality forage, grown right here on our farm.
Our beef is unique in taste, as grass-fed beef tends to be leaner and takes on a different, more robust flavour. Our community knows and trusts that our beef is well taken care of here in Nanoose Bay.
When you choose Springford Farm beef, we hope that you are transported to a simpler time, where making healthy, local food choices was simply natural.
How to Purchase
Shop In-Store
Visit our Farm Market Store to browse our selection of individual cuts — steaks, roasts, ground beef, ribs, offals, and more — all raised right here on our farm.
Bulk Beef Options
Available at select times throughout the year:
• 35lb All Beef Packs
A curated mix of cuts including steaks, roasts, ribs, ground, and bones. Non-customizable.
• Sides of Beef
A half animal, fully customizable to your preferred cuts.
Because of our smaller herd size (and lots of hungry customers!), bulk beef availability is limited and operates on a first come, first serve basis. We maintain two separate waitlists — one for meat packs and one for sides — as they become available at different times of the year.
If you’d like to be the first to know when bulk orders open, please join the interest list that suits your needs. We’ll send more details about each option and notify you by email whenever bulk beef is available.
